OUR 2020 PARISH RENEWAL PROGRAM

Welcome to the Parish Commitment Weekend of our Parish Renewal Program.

To date we have reflected on the role of our parish in our lives – and our level of engagement in the life of the parish – particularly by being involved in one of our Groups & Ministries.

This week we turn our attention to parish finances.  How do we fund the priorities of the parish identified during this Program and discussed at our Forums?  This Parish Commitment Weekend, we welcome Frank Schobben from Parish First, who will speak with us on these important matters, guide us through how we can make our pledge of regular financial support for the parish, and challenge us to respond to the very best of our ability. If you won’t be at Mass, you can complete the attached pledge card and return to the Parish Office.

 

YOUR FINANCIAL COMMITMENT

What does my financial support pay for?

• It will support our pastoral care and outreach programs
• It will help maintain our churches and other parish facilities
• It will help meet the operating costs of the parish – staff wages, insurance, utilities etc.

Why should I give and how much?

• Our parish income is totally reliant on the financial support of parishioners – without such support we could not exist
• Our only recommendation is that each parish family gives to the very best of their ability – that yours should be a meaningful commitment
• Those with more should give more

“The Parish needs money to function. You need a budget to plan how to meet the costs. Envelopes and EFT pledges give an indication of our budget for the next year.”
